Goodreads asked Sarah C.E. Parker:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Sarah C.E. Parker There is never a time, at least for me personally, where I am incapable of writing anything at all if I sit down and commit to it. That does not mean I am always in the right mood or mindset to write what I want to and what I should be working on. I find the blank page to be more comforting actually, because it has so much potential, so even if no progress is happening with my current book that day I might jot down a quick poem, or a conversation between two new characters, or some world-building backstory or plot outline of something completely different, just to get some juices flowing. Watching, listening to, or reading a great new story in my genre also frequently gives instant inspiration, and the second an idea strikes it's best to go ahead and write it. Don't put it off till later. Get it down while it's fresh.
