Why did you choose to write about surrogacy?

Adele Griffin I was lucky enough to have both my kids through surrogacy, after a very long infertility journey. As a mom, I am vastly grateful that this path was available to me. As a writer, I tucked away this experience. I figured if I found a plot that would touch on some these issues without writing a book where the whole focus is infertility, then I'd see if I could write it. Infertility is an incredibly lonely experience, and I think of Nora as the imaginary friend I'd have wanted.
