To be honest anything can inspire me to write. A song. An event I have strong feelings about. Once I saw an act on TV at Christmas and that inspired a story. There's a Wednesday Briefs free fiction thing I do. Each week authors are sent pictures and one liners and if we are inspired by what we see, we have to write a little 500 word + story around it.
Sometimes those little pieces of inspiration can lead to a much bigger story.
