Goodreads asked Karin Hadadan:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Karin Hadadan Write something everyday with the intention that it is primarily for yourself. Write the words that you needed to read. Write the words that your younger self wish they had. Write the words that you've kept internally for far too long, even if they're painful to release.

When your intention is pure - to craft words, articulate inner emotions and bring them into a physical form - to serve yourself first, the universe will reward you back. It is only when you write from the heart that others will feel that intention and resonate with your work.

So start there; and never compare your work with others. Be inspired by others, but don't let their work consume you. Only you have that special voice that is unique to you and your personal experiences.
