Goodreads asked Benny Lewis:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Benny Lewis I have a "ship it" mentality when it comes to writing. There is plenty of time to edit it later and tweak and improve it, but if I sit down to write then I turn into "punch the keyboard" mode and try to write something - anything. It allows my creative juices to flow and if 50% of it is rubbish, I can always scrap it later.

I think writer's block can be partially contributed to people thinking that this sentence must be perfect and will be read by thousands of people. Pretty much every other sentence of my international best selling book was rewritten, reworded or improved in the editing stages, either by me or by someone helping me.
