Hey Paul, I watched Knock at the Cabin on Wednesday and I enjoyed everything about the movie up to the point where I didn´t! I truly love your book, not just the tension but also that beautiful and human message at the end. I know you are probably not allowed to talk about the movie? But I was so angry and hurt by what Shyamalan did with THAT ENDING. It ruined everything, the message was so ideological, so WRONG!

Given that you still work full time as a teacher and yet publish books on a regular basis, how do the two worlds bleed into each other? More specifically, what do your students make of your career as a writer (do they comment on your books or talk about horror generally with you, has there been any backlash from students and / or their parents, etc.).

I'm a little more than half way through Head Full of Ghosts. Fantastic read so far. I was wondering what inspired you to write a book that clearly pays homage to exorcism books and movies that came before, but in a way that (so far) subverts the well established tropes of all of them? Did it start out as a more conventional Exorcism story and evolve?
