Are you personally a "naturalist" by nature? Or is that your day job? I love all the flora and fauna in you Skelgill novels and wonder where you got such inspiration.

I have been fascinated by wildlife since a very young age and came quite close to becoming a professional ornithologist (I studied zoology as an undergraduate, and wardened on a bird reserve). Somehow ended up in advertising, and now writing full time, but still birdwatch every day. I like Betty's comment about a series on PBS, but what about a movie? Any ideas on who would make a good Skelgill? Jones? Leyton? Smart? My father was an angler and was almost as quirky as your character. Really brings back so many memories of fishing with him - which was the best way to connect. Has also made me appreciate the beauty of that area. Absolutely love your books.

Alas, I have no KINDLE, or any other device with which to download your book, and prefer to read the hard/soft copy of a book.
