Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
The genesis for Spark was watching the London riots back in 2011. There seemed to be a great deal of anger and no real focus; at least this is how the mainstream press represented it. It was all violence, looting shops and burning down buildings and no real analysis of why our capital was suddenly on meltdown. And of course there were many reasons why our capital (and subsequent cities) went on meltdown, but those with influence didn't want to explore those reasons. So I thought it would be fun to provide some answers through the eyes of a disaffected, slightly silly narrator and watch as he somehow kick-starts a massive movement for his own reasons which will hopefully resonate with good people everywhere.
