What are you currently working on?

Lonnie Busch Currently I am so busy promoting The Baldwin Hotel, as well as preparing for the re-release of my award winning novella, Turnback Creek with the rights for my novella having reverted back to me. I have bundled my novella with six additional short stories of mine, something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I am also finishing up edits and finals touches on a brand new novel that's taken me a couple years to write. It's a bit of a departure from my normal approach, a "global" horror thriller, the "global" part being different for me. My work usually follows one or two characters in a more localized story. This one was very challenging. For a long time I wouldn't allow myself to even start writing, unsure if I wanted to tackle such a sprawling tale. So glad I did! I love it, and so fun to stretch my mental muscles. I plan to launch it in April and have finally settled on a cover (after numerous previous designs. I do love designing my own covers!).

And as I mentioned in a previous post, I am thrilled to have started a new novel based on a "goodreads" challenge to write a two-sentence horror story. I just started writing a couple days ago and already have three pages!
