Hi Mr Riordan ! On a scale from Dead-for-70-years-oracle-of-Delphi to Percy-standing-in-the-water-and-so-ready-to-fight-some-monsters, how excited are you for the TV show to be out ?

That's the kind of question I like to answer -- one that is funny and original in the way it is presented! : ) I am pretty excited about this show. It's hard to have any distance at the moment, since we are in the middle of everything, but it's incredible to see the first season come together and bring to life so many scenes and characters that were never depicted in the movie. I actually just watched some dailies with Percy standing in the water ready to fight, and our hero Walker Scobell does an amazing job! We have a long way to go still with post-production editing, but we should be finishing principle photography in a couple of weeks, which is a huge milestone.

Some time ago, I heard about alternative versions of some of your later books with any and all LGBTQ+ material removed, for instance, Nico isn't gay and he and Will don't get together. As appalling as the idea is, I'm actually kind of curious about it, and I was wondering, do you know anything about it?
