Jennifer asked Scott Hildreth:

You write multiple genre's, do you attempt to leave something "Hildreth" in each piece? All your stories have a message but years from now, if a class studied your work do you think they would say this is "Hildreth-esque?" If so, what would that be? (Besides the fact you wrote them) Albeit intentionally, or unintentionally?

Scott Hildreth Well, one day someone will figure out a few things about my writing. I use time of day often. Generally the time of day is a biblical passage which is applicable to the story. Additionally, addresses I use are either real addresses (and tie to the story) or are biblical passages. When Shane and Kace in "Undefeated" go to Kace's mother's home, the house # is 648.

Luke 6:48 makes reference to building your home on a solid foundation.

"He is like a man which built an house, and dig deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently on that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded on a rock."

The 'flood' came, and Shane wasn't on solid rock, his foundation was weak. And he collapsed.

These are some of the things I do. Additionally, I believe my writing style is unique. Hildrethesque is applicable to all of my writing, as it is unique in style and prose.

I don't think what I do can be taught, and as I was never taught to write, it's probably going to remain unique to me.
