Kelly K. Lavender Do your homework. Read quality books about writing like Stephen King's On Writing. Read A.P.E. by Guy Kawasaki to learn about marketing, etc. As Stephen King said, "If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write." Study the works of successful authors in a favored genre. If a reality show eliminates your daily reading time, don't expect to optimize your potential as a writer. As Ted Turner said, "Garbage in, garbage out."
