Can I not ask you a question? This is not really a question but I just wanted to thank you for writing about Ana Dakkar. To read about an Indian character written by one of my favorite authors means the world to me and if 12-year-old me had read this book I think she would have been way more confident about her skin and who she is. Thank you, Mr. Rick Riordan, for bringing that book into my life.

I'm so glad! I had a lot of help, including a couple of really great Indian sensitivity readers. Jules Verne made Nemo Indian in the original novels, so it was the only thing to do, really!

Hi there, Rick! Congrats on the big win! I heard you used to live in Texas, yes? That's where I'm from, and my little brother absolutely loves you and your books. He has them all. Haha my question is whether or not you plan on doing a book tour in Houston or anything where in Texas anytime soon? I'd love to get him to a signing one day if I could. :)
