Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cheryl Landmark A love of dogs, mystery, humour and my beautiful little hamlet of Gros Cap all combined to give me the idea for my latest book, "The Mattress Affair", the first in my Flint and Steele Mysteries.

I've always believed dogs are far more intelligent and clever than most people give them credit for, and I thought it would be fun to go inside the head of a dog detective and see how he would solve a mystery. And, I was right! It was a blast writing this book, and I can't wait to finish the second one in the series.
