I have the book and i think the cuss words are way too low graded (e.g, a seventh grader would like the book since I am a seventh grader myself) so it is age appropriate with the acception of rude humor but mostly humor.

There is some extremely mild cussing in this, just so you know. Depending on your definition of profanity, this might be suitable for a ten year old but not an eight year old.
