Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tamra Baumann I love reading books set in small towns. I’m a huge fan of Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, Brenda Novack, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips who have written some of my favorites.

My parents both grew up in tiny farming towns in the Midwest, and the way everyone was all up in everyone else’s business fascinated and entertained me. Being a nomadic military brat growing up, the concept of knowing neighbors for a lifetime really intrigued me. (The moving so much is also probably why I have spent my entire adulthood in the same medium sized town.) And what little town doesn’t have their local ‘over the top’ characters that are such fun to write?
