The title seems like it directly references the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift which is what initially piqued my interest in this book, I'm wondering are their more Taylor references/themes throughout the book of is the title just a coincidence?

I just finished this book and don't remember any references to Taylor Swift (sadly). So to answer your question I think the title is just a coincidence. However, it's a really good read!
