Goodreads asked David Schoorens:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

David Schoorens My whole life I've loved reading history. I'd often imagine what it must have been like to be at the signing of the Magna Carta or the Declaration of Independence. Or experience - from a safe distance of course - the Battle of Gettysburg and landing at Omaha Beach. Well, none of that will happen.

But if it could happen. If there was a way to travel back in time. Or forward in time just to see if we have managed to survive as a civilization. That is the world that H.G. Well created in The Time Machine. To visit not one fictional world, but all our worlds that were, or will be. Now that would be something.
