Goodreads asked Evan Clouse:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Evan Clouse Well, so far I haven't experienced it, but I'm sure that I will. Typically, when I'm about to start a new chapter, I will dream a great deal of it the night before so it just flows out the next day. On the few days where I'm actively going to the well, I tell myself, "Just write something". I will then argue with myself and say that I have nothing to say. After a few minutes of this pettiness, the first voice wins out and I just start typing. It's kinda like struggling to open a champagne bottle, but once you hear that "pop" it just comes flowing out.
