Goodreads asked H.D. Scott:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

H.D. Scott I get this one a lot, and I don't have a silver bullet for everyone as we are all different. For me:
1. I crank up some noise cancelling headphones and put on a couple of specific music playlists that normally raise the hairs on my neck (in a good way.) That alone usually works, but if it doesn't -
2. I start reading some of my older writings that I haven't worked on in a long time. Especially 1st drafts as those are very raw, but heavy. If 1 and 2 combined don't work -
3. Stop. Go do something else for awhile, preferably something fun or athletic destress. Then try 1 and 2 again after a few hours. If that still doesn't work -
4. Write something off topic, respond to questions, do some brain storming, or just come back to it the next day.
Hopefully my process works for some other people out there and best of luck to you all.
