What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Clyde Boyer Well, I can tell you it's not the marketing or the mechanics of publishing a book. The absolute best thing about writing for me is finding a way to translate my inner world into something that can be shared. It's fascinating. You take something that never existed and give it substance and gravity. Of course, I can do the same thing now with AI (which I have been working with), but what's the fun in that? A close second is the research that goes into the book. Nothing helps you learn a subject like writing about it.
