What prompted you to write different genres as opposed to writing just one?

Sarah Michelle Lynch It's not an easy question to answer! :-) I guess I just have ideas and pursue them, regardless of whatever genre they fall into. It might just be that I have eclectic tastes... I don't know! I've certainly written several sub-genres of romance but throughout most of my books, there is always "the struggle" the protagonist(s) undergo(es), the series of situations I place them in, to see how they react. A lot of authors when they start out experiment and eventually fall more into one category or another, but it always depends on the audience, and right now I think the majority of romance readers still want steamy stories - but with a few brains too!
