I loved this poem, I don´t think is a difficult read (I´m not an English native speaker) but I recommend you to read it along side Cliffnotes' literary notes to understand certain meanings behind Milton´s characters.

Paradise Regained is the story of Jesus and how Satan tries to tempt him in the desert. I read Paradise Regained and I just found it very boring and anticlimactic. I guess it may be different if you are religious, in my case, I just read it as a literary piece. (less)
