I enjoy your first contact novels. Have you considered a first contact novel in which we are the ones entering a new planet, which is either 200 years ahead or 200 years behind us and all the issues that each would entail?

I wrote a novel called Cold Eyes along these lines where there are only a few hundred years between humans and the Beebs (as they're known), but the Beebs have not ventured into space. The novel focuses on exploring why and leads to a fascinating story :)

I just recently discovered your books, starting with your short stories. Now I'm reading Mars Endeavor (Mars = my favorite planet). Wow! Wow! A-MAZE-ZING books, especially the short stories. How you can grab a reader for a short time is truly a talent. No question from me yet. :o) ?

Was very pleasantly surprised to see you wrote a sequel to the Hugh Howey's Silo series. How did this come to pass? Is he done with the series? Quick addendum, I have very much enjoyed your first contact series, and appreciate that you try to incorporate evolving science in your narratives. Thanks
