This is not such an easy question to answer as -for me - there are several things I like about being a writer.
I enjoy the freedom to write what I want to write when I want to write it. Some days I may spend hours writing, and on others not so much. I love the way characters develop a 'mind of their own' and now matter how I (the author) tries to control the story, the characters usually win out in the end. :-)
