At the beginning of Charlie Thorne and the lost city it says Robert fitzroy is that teddys great great great great great great great grandfather?

Stuart Gibbs No. Robert FitzRoy was the real captain of the HMS Beagle. When I wrote Belly Up, I gave Teddy his last name as a reference to Darwin and his voyages, not realizing that a decade later, I would need to include the actual FitzRoy in a book.
