I am very confused as to who kidnapped Phillip. Was it Bardin or the driver Somchit? Maxwell insisted it was Somchit and thats why he was beaten but Laura said it wasnt him Please clarify

She was angry at Bardin because he had accidentally lost the photo of her brother from Vietnam (the one Robert made up a bio for accusing him of being an informer). He was then tortured and killed. Bardin had temporarily left Philip in his undercover room, and she used the opportunity to get her revenge by taking him and putting him into the sex trade. Somchit was beaten because the Americans did not believe his story or his girlfriend's alibi. The girlfriend, not Laura, said it wasn't him. The girlfriends was Noi.(less)
