Julie Kay asked:

I haven't yet finished the book, but it feels like the stories of 3 women's desires trying to fit in with the desires of men, & in the long run, the men's desires overpower the situation & the women suffer. I am just so over this narrative. Too many women have lived it! Can we go out there & find women who own their own sexual agency & go for what they want, confident in where their desires will take them?

Pat Hughes No, I think the two adult women do try to exlain and try to implement their independence including sexual. with their partner, but experience resistance from that , and so each woman’s frustration. Maggie, the third woman is just trying to carry on in adulthood after falling prey to a high school teacher predator/groomer.
