What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Gigi Meier It's a testing ground for people, places, and things. When writing, we are free to be whomever in the world we want to be. We get to explore their world, the events that happen to them, how they react, and the emotions they feel.

Writing or reading is an escape from your current reality with an opportunity each and every day to plunge into another world, another person, or another life.

Specifically for me, it's a safe place to channel my emotions when dealing with things going on in my life. It's cathartic in that you can infuse your situation into another life, watch introspective how the characters react and how they resolve the situation or problem. It can provide clues as to how I could have or should resolve it in real life.
