It's not for children that's for sure. I think Y/A so 14 and up. It deals with a lot of heavier topics that kids may not be able to comprehend yet.

I agree with Anne. Older kids will definitely understand it better than younger ones. Twelve year olds could probably get most of it, as I was this young when I read it. But overall, young adult.
