Henry Keen
Henry Keen asked L.E. Modesitt Jr.:

Hello L.E :) I have read all your Fantasy books starting with the magic of recluse. I love all the characters"the are like family to me".Having said that I just can't seem to get into your Sci-fi. Maybe I just don't like Sci-fi; but it is hard for me to develop a bond with the world and characters like I can in your fantasy novels. Have you ever thought of writing a sf with the style you use for your fantasy novels?

'chris d
'chris d asked L.E. Modesitt Jr.:

Do you world-build first or do you write the story and world build around it?

Tim
Tim asked L.E. Modesitt Jr.:

I find the moral views made by your protagonists usually to be very much in line with my own. Are they yours as well, and where do you think they originated from?
