Just like painting, acting, or any other art, you have to PRACTICE. Write your stories, write fanfiction, write whatever you can manage. You're going to need to get down about a half-million words before you really start to find your voice. Sometimes, it might take even longer. I probably doubled that while figuring out what in the heck I was even doing.
