Gailmarie Goldrick

What do you think the age level is for this? I'm thinking of a sophomore in High School - shy and conservative.

Sue S I think it is appropriate for high school. It deals with love and some kissing. I am a children's librarian, and would be very comfortable with recommending it to teens.
Powder River Rose Yes this is appropriate for today's high school students but shy and conservative may be embarrassed by some of the content. There are multiple issues (cultural, abuse, bullying) that this story brings to light and it could help with interpersonal relations. There is kissing, some minor sex experimentation, a form of sexual assault and a full sexual love scene. One may find it easier to comprehend if you listen to the audio version with its multi-cast of narrators.
Celeste Byrne I think freshmen high school would be a good age.
Julie Buehler My 7th grader is listening to this with me on audio. She comprehends it well and loves it. I have not found anything unacceptable so far.
Lauren This book seems appropriate for teenagers and up.
Lisa Zink I think that this would be appropriate for a high school student. There is nothing that would deter me from allowing a high schooler to read it.
