Judi Ross I loved this book and read it twice. I shared it with several of my book groups and it was hit with most everyone. Look at it as an immigrant story with the fig tree being symbolic of establishing roots, being uprooted and rerooting again somewhere else. Think of the relevancy in today's world as we watch the citizens of Ukraine and other migrants having these experiences. Look at the communication between all members of the ecosystem. It's more than the story of Ada, Defne and Kostas.
Seawitch It was a tedious read - especially the fig tree parts.
Artfullyoung1 This book was beautiful and brilliantly written!
Jennifer Welbaum I listened to this book and was enthralled. Not a full moment. The narrator was fabulous.
