Brian Staveley Glad you enjoyed Dead Ox Falls! The story isn't connected at all to the Unhewn Throne books, but I wouldn't rule out an appearance in later novels. Given that, I don't want to say too much about Hein's well...

I've got another short story coming out relatively soon on tor.com. It's totally different. Very short. Almost a fairy tale for kids. Stay tuned.
