I have read most of the Lynley books and in Something to Hide I really notice the way you characterize Winston Ngata's speech. I on't remember his speech being colloquial in the other novels. Have I just missed it? Is his speaking part larger in this novel?

Yes, his speaking part is larger. Getting it right is tricky, though.

Just looked at the photos of the new actors who will portray Lynley and Havers. They look too young! And Lynley still has dark hair. But I realize you had no control over that. How do you feel about the new series? I'm more anxious for the books. Those are "real" Elizabeth George, who can't be surpassed.
