I just read, this morning, of the passing of Frederick Buechner. Thank you for introducing him to me through your books. Many of his books now enrich my bookshelves with their profound insights into the human condition. How did you become acquainted with FB and his writings?

A friend at the publishing house Harper & Row sent me a copy of his early book, Telling the Truth, and I was immediately hooked.

My husband and I have been listening to you this past month reading your memoir, mostly during long trip in our car. we just finished tonight. Lot of thoughts and emotions are going on in our hearts and minds. I relate to your upbringing, as I grew up in a fundamentalist french church. At time it was very painful to listen. I was wondering, how did Marshall or your mom reacted to the publishing of your memoire?
