Julia, I just finished writing a book about the Dominican Republic where I spent three years as a missionary. My beta readers have said the setting is so powerful it is like "another character in the book." It is about a missionary who is falsely accused of killing his companion, how the loss & his time in jail changes him, and how an adoring girl proves him innocent. Would you be interested in reviewing the book?

Dear Jeanette,
This is Bill, Julia’s husband. Julia had a setback last fall, which involved two major eye surgeries, and loss of vision in the eye, with resulting double vision. She doesn’t want to burden you with her grim news, but she has had to curtail the reading and writing she does do, which includes trying to finish a novel due soon. So she sends her regrets and good wishes. Thanks for your understanding, Bill

Dear Julia, I am inspired and look forward to reading your books. As a late in life author, with my only second-novel just released, I cannot help admire how prolific you are. Also, I am often drawn to Latinx writers or those who write about foreign countries especially those south of our US borders. Do you think "ageism exists in the publishing world today?" I'm finding it hard to even find an agent.

Hi there, i hope you are doing well. Congrats on your amazing success. I wanted to check if you would kindly review a childrens book i've written dedicated to my late father? I would love your honest feedback and a endorsement. This is apart of my late father legacy and id really appreciate it. This is my first time ever writing a book so any support would mean alot to me. I look forward to hearing from you.

I've been a fan of your work for many years and always admired your versatility and adaptability, especially your willingness to go from deeply historical, grown-up topics to YA books and even children stories. As a writer, I can go from genre to genre within fiction (a lot of poetry in-between), but never from one audience to the next. Anything you can share about writing YA after mostly writing for adults? Thanks.
