What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

E.J. MacPhee Why did I give up a good job, buy an old, dilapidated bus and move my family across the country in it, breaking down the first day and spending 26 days in multiple garages, rebuilding the engine, replacing parts, jumping batteries, avoiding speeding tickets for going too slow, etc.? Finished the trip, stone broke with 3 kids and a very patient wife and grad school. I've never been a mechanic and I've never been a hippie.

It is definitely a book plot.
