Goodreads asked Rohit Sharma:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Rohit Sharma Write something different. Think of new ideas, and do not write your own Love Story unless it is too good or too different from the books that are flooding Indian markets. Today's young writers are starting with their own love stories, and trust me, they all are same. Challenge yourself and write about something which you don't know. Writing about what you already know is easy.

Moreover, don't just write a book for the sake of writing it. Do some research work. Think of something which is not known to you. Work on your grammar, vocabulary. There is no point in writing a book if you don't know basic rules of Grammar! So, first learn the language. If you think you are the master, remember, there is always a scope for improvement. I too study Vocab and Grammar books in my free time.

Lastly, stay dedicated, focused and patient. Writing requires a lot of patience. Don't write just to increase your book count! Quality matters. Write well :)
