Did Sam find the "secret highway" the night he took the road with the strange sign? (The same sign was in Pioneers too.)

Lars I loved this book, but this plot point has been bugging me a little -- feels like a loose end to the extent I was worried I'd somehow missed a chapter…moreI loved this book, but this plot point has been bugging me a little -- feels like a loose end to the extent I was worried I'd somehow missed a chapter. There are several references to these highways, he finally finds one, but then nothing about where it took him or anything. I do appreciate the references in the Pioneers game and it doesn't really detract from the book, imho, and maybe I just don't get it. But I have been thinking about it some.(less)
