How do you get inspired to write?

Sara Scott I guess the initial answer would be that I always liked to write...literally. A pen or pencil making its way across paper; writing words and practicing penmanship, doodling shapes and figures. Then at around the age of eleven, I realized that I could use those words to write stories. I wrote about aliens, and then I wrote poetry. It was many years later that I finally started making notes on dreams I had, and in those I realized that I might have stories to tell. So, when I reached retirement I began to write my first novel and the result was "The Touch of Her Voice."
