BookFunnel is a website that allows authors to provide book downloads, do promo swaps, and join and create group promos. That's all free. Right now I'm paying $10/month so I can gather e-mail addresses too.
The Christmas in July promo was for Christian Christmas books and it lasted the entire month of July. Each author sent out the promo at least once, so you get the benefit of sharing platforms with the other authors in the promo. We had more than 300 clicks on nine authors' books. It's good free marketing.
