It is not necessary, since I endeavor to fill the reader in about the characters' backstory and relevant experiences in each novel. Many readers write to me about being introduced to the series by reading a random book in the series - and they tell me the books can serve as stand-alone titles. Some readers who are intrigued enough opt to go back and read them in order, to see how some of the relationships evolve over time. It's totally your choice!

hi there... Audible doesn't carry some of the earlier books of your "bones" series (which I love!! fabulous narration to highlight such fun characters!) Do you happen to know if they are available via audio somewhere else? They are missing books 4 and 5 and then 13.5 and 14.5.
