Hi Juliet, I have been a fan of your Sevenwaters series since I was a teen, Sevenwaters feels like coming home every time I read it. My question is, does Finbar show up in any of your other works, and if not, do you ever think that he might in future books?

Juliet Marillier Hi Ariel and so sorry I missed this question from four months ago (!) So far Finbar has not shown up in any of my other works - the closest we got with ''old" characters was the novella Twixt Firelight and Water, which is more or less the story of Ciaran and the raven Fiacha, covering quite a long time span. It has an appearance by Lord Colum and some of his sons, but not Finbar. There's a sort of appearance in Seer of Sevenwaters, of course, on the island (Inis Eala in those books, Swan Island in the Warrior Bards series), where his spirit is still around to supply wisdom when it's needed.
I were to include Finbar in a story now it would have to fit somewhere into the existing Sevenwaters saga - not sure if I am really up for that!
