Dawnstream Each stands alone, but it's more interesting to read both. In "The Call of the Wild," our quadruped hero leaves domesticity for the wilds due to circumstances beyond his control. In "White Fang," an entirely different hero is domesticated and eventually befriended. It's the same journey in opposite directions.
