Do you plan to write a sequel to Orison? I loved that book so much!

Daniel Swensen Thank you so much for asking, Rayn. The short answer is, "I don't know."

The long answer is: I really loved Orison too. I am really proud of it. So much so that I wrote several versions and drafts of sequels and could never find anything that felt quite right. I struggled with it for literal years and could never pin down what I wanted to say or where I wanted to go from there.

Then one day I looked up and realized I wasn't the same person who'd written Orison, at all. I went through a lot of sudden changes in identity and some life events that changed my entire trajectory. And I started to think that maybe Orison ended the story exactly where it needed to -- that Story's fate was something best left up to the reader.

I'm not ruling out ever writing a sequel, but right now it's not a priority for me. I had to make the decision to move past it so I could complete other works. So, again, I don't really know.
