Hi there! There's a bit of a compound question. What attracted you to horror writing? Do you have any tips for aspiring horror writers? I've already read two of your books, Survivor song and Cabin. Cannot wait to read more. Thanks for all you do.

Thanks for reading! It sound like you're the first part, which is read and read a lot. Write every day if you can (of course it's okay to miss a day here an there, but don't let the here and there turn into not writing). Worry less about if a story idea has been done before, and instead focus on your voice/experience and what uniqueness you bring to that story.

First off, just wanted to say I loved Head Full of Ghosts. And damn you for writing such a psychologically twisted book that kept me up for hours! Do you have any idea if the movie will be shot in a found footage (Cloverfield, Blair Witch) type way? I really enjoyed your book, and will definitely read more of your novels.

That sounds like an exciting premise. No doubt you'll flip the "home invasion" genre on its head. Can't wait till 2018! BTW, there are at least 15 people in San Francisco who have received AHFOG as birthday gifts and all have thoroughly enjoyed it. And I have to put in a question mark for this to be posted to you--no response necessary, however. ?

Ran out of room—sorry. OP made an incredible movie, The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I thought he would be perfect to make AHFOG. But then I read he was no longer attached which is a shame? What happened and so you know who’s directing the movie? Ben Wheatley, in my opinion would do a great job as well. Whom did you imagine helming or who was on your list of hopefuls. I can only imagine how personal it is to hand it over.
