This Question is a Spoiler Confused about Eli/Carlos incident. Who was at fault? At the end, it is implied Eli was threatened by Carlos, but Eli never showed any other reluctance in discussing his work and I'm don't understand why this would turn him against Carlos.

Eli was insecure that his story would hold up under scrutiny, & Carlos just wouldn't let up, so yes...he became a threat. (less)
