Kane Edwards
Kane Edwards asked Mystqx Skye:

What stereotype or thought imposed in childhood hindered you the most in life?

Mystqx Skye Hi Kane, thanks for asking. I think the stereotype which affected me the most in my childhood is the connotation that if you have brown skin you are economically poor and that brown skin is not a standard of beauty. Although self love and acceptance is more important for me than proving myself to others -- there were times that I wanted to prove people wrong. At first, I thought, it's ok to let people think however they want to think as long as I think differently about myself. But then as I grew older I realised that stereotyping is a very destructive behaviour. It creates a lot of harmful patterns that causes a chain reaction of negativity in society.
